Primary Root Canal Treatment of LR6 using the MG3 Blue system from Perfect: A case report

Primary root canal treatments are not always straightforward. In cases where the pulp tissue has been exposed to different nocive stimuli for a long period of time, the endodontic space might alter and clinicians face obstacles and difficulties in finding the canal orifices, establishing glide path and shaping the endodontic system for an efficient disinfection. It is mandatory for clinicians to adapt to each clinical situation and wisely choose what files and instruments work best in their hands for performing a good endodontic treatment and ensure a favourable outcome.

The 50 years old patient was referred to our office by his general dental practitioner for endodontic treatment. He complained about dull pain and biting tenderness associated with tooth 46.

The access cavity was driven by the caries process and after the removal of the infected dentine, the pulp chamber was unroofed and the pulp stones were removed to locate the canal orifices.

Vertical warm condensation technique was performed to obturate the canals.

The pulp chamber floor was sealed with flowable composite and temporary coronal filling was used on top.

The MG3 system allowed an easy management of this clinical case
